This is a remote control that operates through radio frequency, meaning it needs to be synchronized with the television.
Here is a guide for pairing your TV remote control:
If the remote control does not power on the TV set 1.) Switch on the TV using the standby button on the TV set (not the remote control). 2.) Once turned on, press the standby button on the TV set once. 3.) This will prompt the 'pairing menu' to appear; scroll through and highlight 'Pair your remote' by pressing the TV CH+/CH- button (scroll up/down function in the menu). 4.) Then, press the TV set's standby button (OK function in the menu) to confirm your selection. 5.) Then, with the remote control, press and hold the YELLOW and BLUE buttons for a few seconds; the power light will blink 5 times to confirm the TV and remote control are paired.
IMPORTANT: Some TV sets require pressing the GREEN and YELLOW buttons together for more than 3 seconds to pair the remote control with your TV.

PAIRING YOUR T.V. HANDSET
METHOD 1.
Switch the T.V. on in the “Standby mode”
With the Remote Handset near to the T.V. hold down the Yellow & Green buttons together until the Red LED on the T.V. flashes. The Handset should now be paired to the T.V.
METHOD 2 ( IF METHOD 1 IS NOT SUCCESSFUL)
Using the buttons on the T.V. switch it on and select a Channel. Press the “Standby” button on the T.V. and a Menu will be shown listing “Pairing”. Select this option and follow the on screen instructions. The Handset should now be paired to the T.V.
